DMR Repeater site work day 8 years 1 week ago #183

We are going to have a work day on Saturday, May 21st to start getting our new DMR repeater site going.

We will need help with sanding and painting tower sections, getting the hole dug for the tower base, pouring cement and making sure it is level.

(If you are good at supervising, we can always use the company too!)

We will be meeting at the Food Lion on Route 16/18 to go up to the site at 9:00 AM. If you can spare a few morning hours for us that day, we'd really appreciate it.

If you want to help, you can let us know by posting here so we'll know that you'll be there.

I'll be there.

Will there be electric (bring power tools or hand tools)?

Given that I am unfamiliar with Wilkesboro, is there a street address for the foodlion, I found 2 that are on hwy 16

one here

1300 Westwood Lane
Wilkesboro, NC 28697

and the second one here

2931 NC Hwy 16
Millers Creek, NC 28651

Looking forward to it.

Work Day 8 years 5 days ago #190

May 21 at 9am. We will be working on the site for the new DMR repeater. We would like to have as many as can help with this project. We will be sanding the tower sections, preparing the tower base, mixing concrete (we have a mixer) and just general help. Please post if you can help so we can have an idea of how many will be there.
We will meet at the Food Lion on 16/18 by 9am Saturday May 21 and go to the site.
Thanks and hope to see you there,
Danny (W4DLO)
