THE “GRANDADDY OF THEM ALL”

 

The Shelby Hamfest, a long-time late summer favorite in the southeast, will be held this year on September 2^nd through the 4^th, at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds.  This year’s event will feature usual exhibits, vendors and activities. The hamfest will be open to all, observing all safety protocols in place during the festival period.

Susan Ledford, Shelby Hamfest Chair, wants to invite everyone to the club’s 65^th annual “Grandaddy of them all.”  She says: “We welcome back all past participants, and extend an enthusiastic invitation for new participants to come and be a part of the social interaction that can only be experienced by personal contact.”  “Our yearly event was paused last year, as part of a national effort to safeguard personal health and safety, especially for those who were at high-risk for complications.”  “With knowledge of effective protocols now utilized, we are confident that our hamfest can proceed as scheduled.”

 

Advance ticket sales, Vendor registration, and Camping reservations are available via the usual process utilized for previous events.
